You change the patch once a week for 3 weeks and then go without a patch for 1 week. During this week, you have your period. One pack provides birth control for 1 month.
  • The ring is used to prevent pregnancy. It’s a soft plastic ring that you put into your vagina. It’s also called the vaginal ring. It gives you a regular dose of the hormones estrogen and progestin. The ring protects against pregnancy for 1 month at a time. You wear one ring for 3 weeks in a row and then go without a ring for 1 week. During this week, you have your period.
  • Consultation and prescription are provided for pills, patch, and ring. Birth control pills will be available on site in the coming months.

Depo-Provera

IUD insertion and removal

  • The intrauterine device (IUD) is used to prevent pregnancy for up to 3 to 12 years. It’s a small, plastic, T-shaped device. Your doctor places the IUD in your uterus. You have a choice between a hormonal IUD and a nonhormonal (copper) IUD.

Nexplanon insertion and removal

  • Nexplanon, also known as the birth control implant, is used to prevent pregnancy for up to 3 years. It’s a thin rod about the size of a matchstick that is inserted under the skin (subdermal) on the inside of your arm. The implant releases the hormone progestin to prevent pregnancy.
